Awards for Refugee Youth: Apply Now
[NOW CLOSED] — Refugee and immigrant youth are eligible to apply for $1,000 awards designed to highligt achievement in advancing social change in the following areas: Immigration, School and English/French Language Learning, Family, Building Bridges and Working in Solidarity. Entitled the 2017 Fresh Voices Awards, they recognize the inspiration and leadership of immigrant and refugee youth in British Columbia and across Canada. The themes were chose through consultation with immigrant and refugee youth and organizations and communities working in partnership with young people. Youth, aged 14-24, may apply for an award directly, or can nominate someone else to receive an award. Adults can only nominate someone else for an award. All nomination packages must be received by the Fresh Voices Initiative of Vancouver Foundation via e-mail on May 17, 2017, by 5pm PST.
